I WISH!!!

Ihave SEVEN kids in Catholic school.

About the best you can hope for is bus transportation.

But remember, public schools benefit everyone by providing education to everyone. You derive benefit when you interact with those who receive the education- doctors, nurses, firefighters, police...even the clerk who gives you correct change.

The better educated the population, the better the tax base and the better the tax burden is distributed.

If you don't pay school taxes because your kids are in private school, why should a senior citizen pay them?

No unfortunately you do not. Sending your child to Catholic school is your choice so unfortunately, you are still required to pay the taxes without reimbursement.

nope, you get the double whammy. The public schools are the choice the government will provide to everyone, and they will make everyone pay it whether they take advantage of it or not. Does any tax work this way, where if you don't utilize a certain service you don't have to pay for it? I can't think of any.

there is a ton of praise for govt schools on this one. GOVT schools people! you'd rather pay taxes to indoctrinate Johnny on how to put a rubber on a banana or be taught that frauds like global warming is fact? sad....sad....sad. only when govt school teachers are held accountable for a doing a shi**y job will 'public education' improve. yes, i understand there are some public schools that are decent and still teach reading, writing, math, and science but they are by far the minority

no. just the same as how people with no children in school still have to pay school taxes. Its for the betterment of the whole generation, not just a particular persons children.

No. Someone with no kids has to pay taxes as well. The tax is not tuition, it's funding to educate our citizens.
