If one desires to be in Heaven when they die, are the not dependent on such a thing?

In other words, some people enjoy spending money because the happiness they get from it fulfills them. However, since one needs to continually shop, the happiness is dependent on spending.

As well, those who smoke cigarettes will find happiness with the relief it brings, however, they will need to keep smoking.

If one finds happiness in a motorcycle when riding, are they happy? What of when they are not riding, are they miserable?

If you rely on heaven for happiness and God for happiness, then are you really happy? Without God, without the idea of heaven, are you happy? Don't just say "of course" because I will not believe it. In order for one to truly say "yes" they must not cling to such beliefs, not "long" for such occurences to follow.

In order to be liberated, one must be free from all, including thoughts and ideas.

Are you happy/dependent clinging to heaven/god beliefs?

I think God is merely a paradox along with the opposite. I believe I see it for what it is.

In order for happiness to exist, sadness must exist. In order for one to be happy, someone has to be sad or everything will just "be."

So, content is the word I think people are looking for by it's not "happiness"

1st of all this life has nothing really that good in it. Spending money, cigarettes, riding cars? Wow big deal this is all crap. If God didnt create woman then there would be nothing for men to resist and when a man can control himself over woman and know that in heaven there is much better things then he will have no problems with women. I have a firm belief in heaven and as long as you obey god then will be no problem in the end because god is just.

He created the universe and provides for humans daily even though most of them are not thankful.

And if people dont believe in god then how the are we even here? how do we have sight, why are there so many different types of people, why is our body so perfectly created? And dont say evolution because that is crap and it came way after the theory of creation.

I am a muslim strong in my belief and i know indeed that there will be a judgement day. Think about all those people who commit so much sins, do you think they wont be punished and will be left alone? And the ones who did good wont be rewarded? Truly God is just and will reward everyone justly.

God is a superstition. Heaven doesn't exist. When you die, you're just dead. So, I don't cling to Heaven / God beliefs.

As far as happiness goes, you're treating happiness as an either/or type of thing. It really isn't. Nobody, unless their psychotic, are absolutely happy or absolute unhappy. So, it is idiocy to treat them as such.

If I like riding a motorcycle, then I can feel happiness while riding it. However, that does not mean I feel unhappiness when I'm not riding a motorcycle. Again, unless I'm psychotic, my only happiness isn't just motorcycles.

For me, I find many things in life to be happy about. I am generally a happy person. There are some things in life that I don't like, such as stupid questions that pit an issue as black and white when it isn't, but that doesn't make my life totally unhappy.

Heaven is the highest form of happiness because its where God resides. And in His presence is where happiness is always. This may sound profound and philosophical but its true! But it doesn't mean that that's all you should live for. We're here for a time-we should live our lives in the happiest and fulfilling way that encompasses all the goodness and virtue that God desires of us to do unto our neighbors and the world He gave us. It all begins with Him and knowing his presence all around and inside us.

Giving love to others, and having love given to me..........makes me truly happy. but there are times, too, when i do feel unloved. human love, after all, is limited. therefore, earthly love, as with everything else on earth, can never completely satisfy. heaven, itself, means eternal happiness - the same happiness i experience through love here on earth, but never-ending. so i am happy through my experience of love here on earth, and as a result, i do strive to attain this eternal happiness in heaven.

Through earthly love, i experience a little piece of heaven everyday.
