a form of worship and a form of not making the name of a useful object in vein and when using it and calling for it, not using the name of that object in God's kingdom in vein?

But this object has a purpose and it is good for that purpose, oft times better than any other object for it's suited purpose and so logically called upon by name, a god's name! A mini part of God!

When I call for that object, I pay homage, I do so reverently making sure I called for the right object to help me with my job!

I worship this object for it's intended purpose. And I think Jesus was alright too!

If I use the wrong name, requesting the use of this object, I would be taking that name, that common label for that object, in vein, and I could expect to not get the results I might be looking for, right?

So I worship that useful object properly and functionally, taking care of my duties at hand. And you? What do you do?

I am asking if it breaks the second commandment to ask for something using the wrong name.

Thanks for the word vain. I stand corrected. Been busy today changing a bearing.

But, then I am using the word vein in vain?

I got excessively proud and wrote without realizing that my word was inaccurate. lol

So that word vain, is one of God's Words, that I misused and said vein!

I don't think people sometimes can see that when they misuse things and names in life, they are misusing mini parts of God, since God is everywhere!

Zina,
I am saying that all words are God's words. All words come from God. All names of all objects come from God, through us, but from God, since God is everywhere.

If I use the wrong name for an object that I need to use when requesting it from another being, I can expect that the penalty for not paying enough homage and attention to detail about that object request, will net me a result I was not expecting, an inefficiency, a mistake, a sin, a difference from what I was looking for.

This would all be happening because I took the name of that object in vain! Took my request laziness or for what ever reason, for granted, and I did not get what I wanted!

But if God is everywhere, and we both agree God is , right?

Then it follows that whatever I do to the least of God's objects, named by God, because all words belong to God,.......is what I do to God too! So that if I call a tool by the wrong name, I take that part of God in vain!

Shoudn't all of our acts be sacred, devout, caring in that they are being in God's Kingdom? And when we give proper thanks and praise to all of the creatures and objects and call them by proper names, doesn't the order of things go a little smoother for us? And when we try to stay sober and with it, doesn't that help? And doesn't it put us in better moods to accept communication from others if we pay attention to details the best we can? And don't others get more upset with us when we don't and sometimes not give us what we are looking for and hence our lives fill with miseries from it? So what I am saying is that names are important. When you use the wrong name for an object in God's Kingdom, you are taking the name of that object in vain!

Or are you saying you warship a vase, TV or a computer?

Blessings!

To use God's Name "in vain" is to employ the name of God out of worship and reverence. An example would be to claim one is a "Christian" and not be cultivating a spiritual relationship with God, the Father, through Jesus Christ. One is therefore, vainly (wasting his or her own, time), following and worshipping God.

I don't pray to, nor do I worship, an "object"... What the heck are you talking about? And the correct word is "VAIN"!!

I truly wish I understood what you are asking!.....Blessings!
