When I was a child we said the novena to St. Jude when we needed something very badly.

I don't, but I also think it is more the intention and continutity of the prayers in novenas that have power instead of the exact words themselves.
If I might suggest... why not read the account of the Annuncation (Luke 1:26-38) and simply ask God for help and strength is accepting His will and finding your way. If you feel like it, let yourself mull over the idea of acceptance and strength.
Blessings!

Perhaps you should chose the best one for your situation.
Here is a website that has many Catholic Prayers and Novenas.

Now is the perfect time for a novena to Therese of Lisieux. Begin it now and you will finish on her feast day!

St.Jude has always been a good "utility man" for various causes.
Go here for a prayer to St. Jude:

No, I don't. I'm sorry.
To Jeanmarie: It is NOT a sin to ask people in heaven to pray for you. This girl is asking a legitimate question, and she doesnt need your protestant heresy right now
To Robert S : You don't think its healthy to pray? You're no Catholic in my book if you think prayer is wrong

I don't know of any that are specifically for getting back with old boyfriends, but here's one to St. Raphael.
St. Raphael, Archangel, is the patron of "happy meetings."
So if you are supposed to meet him and hook up again, Raphael can help. If somebody else is out there better for you, Raphael can guide you to that person.
Here it is:
Prayer to St. Raphael, Archangel
O Raphael, lead us toward those we are waiting for, those who are waiting for us: Raphael, Angel of happy meeting, lead us by the hand toward those we are looking for. May all our movements be guided by your Light and transfigured with your joy. Angel, guide of Tobias, lay the request we now address to you at the feet of Him on whose unveiled face you are privileged to gaze. Lonely and tired, crushed by the separations and sorrows of life, we feel the need of calling you and of pleading for the protection of your wings, so that we may not be as strangers in the province of joy, all ignorant of the concerns of our country. Remember the weak, you who are strong, you whose home lies beyond the region of thunder, in a land that is always peaceful, always serene and bright with the resplendent glory of God. Amen.

Try the one of Saint Anthony of Padua. He is the saint of lost things. Although, when you pray, also ask for discernment and esp. for God's will. You don't know. Maybe God has a better plan for you.

how about you examining the relationship, writing out the pros and the cons and if the pros outweigh the cons and you want to pursue it, having an open honest conversation about it with your ex. That would help you more than ANY novena could.

I don't think that is a healthy approach to the situation.
That's like using prayer to manipulate God or people.
That's the approach that Wiccans & Pagans take.
Instead you should be asking what is God's will for you both.
There's nothing magical about praying for 9 days either.
