me with the intelligence and common sense that you have now, that you might have discovered what a down to earth kind of fellow he was, flawed as a human being sometimes just like we are?

I can't remember what scriptures it was in but it was when he tossed the tables at the temple and other things where he was basically challenging peoples religious beliefs and how they were being twisted to suit more what was acceptable to them....that I thought he really might be a very feisty (in a good way) and down to earth guy. I guess it surprised me to see he got ticked and frustrated and was more real to me then than what I sort of thought he might be like. I don't know how I got the idea that lack of emotion equaled a Divine being....but I did.

Sounds good, but it would have turned into a myth-buster.

For example, since I'm not a gullible country bumpkin (like all the people who 'witnessed' his ministry and miracles) I would have immediately debunked the 'water into wine' 'healing of the sick' and 'raised from the dead' hokey shaman tricks so we could get down to some brass tacks and figure out exactly what he really was all about.

Of course, if he was a figment of Paul's imagination and the reincarnation of a bunch of savior myths, none of this would happen.

I think that I would know that I were in the presence of someone very special. But God made him human on purpose. There is a long period of his life that the Bible doesn't talk about and I think for that time he lived a very normal life.

Jesus knew no sin. He was not a flawed human being.

He was in fact, the only perfect sinless human who ever lived.

I consider him, if he existed, to be very similar to Buddha, who never claimed to be a God. I imagine Buddha was very down to earth. One has to be once they've removed pride, envy, anger, etc from this lifestyle.

Down to earth, yes. Flawed, no.

Scripture says "He was tempted in every way like we are, yet without sin."
