A Nursing Home, Assisted Living Facility, or a Hospice Volunteer is an excellent place to begin. Not only do the folks enjoy seeing ppl from the Community, you may find out that you have an interest in the Health Care Field. If that isn't ur thing, try ur Local Humane Society. I have a friend that manages one, and she is always looking for Volunteers to help with the Animals up for adoption. Good Luck and Take Care!

Va clinic, Hospitals, nursing homes, if you have a dog you can set a time and take him in for visits to a lot of nursing homes and childrens homes. Senior citizen centers, I used to stop by and play ping pong on my lunch break, we all had a blast. Some local churches around need volunteers to. If you love people, there is no better reward, I have been volunteering for over 20 years now at one place or another as I have moved around with my Job, I even tutored some school kids once, you might check into that, good luck!!!!
