why then is the devil called "Lucifer", the bearer of light.
Is that enough to make Christians think (no, nobody can open a clam with a piece of paper)

people believe in the bible mainly because their parents tell them that the bible is the ultiment truth and it is always right but i am an atheist so i am not bound by the bible

Lucifer is the name of the arch-angel who invented a thing unknown in the universe before him - lies (John 8:44).
The word Devil means Liar.
The word Satan means Opposer.
With Lucifer's invention - Lies, he became the Liar and the Opposer of God, who is the Truth - The Reality.

Lucifer goes by many names but was at one point an angel highly regarded by god almost like his right hand man but feeling thats all he would ever be just a sort of assistant to god he rebelled and became the fallen angel you refer to as lucifer

Lucifer was an angel, a very important angel. But, he decided to challenge God, and therefore kicked out of heaven. He was called Satan, after this happened

Lucifer was THE guardian angel. He was the most beautiful angel and the most powerful I believe. But because of all the greatness God made him with, he because full of himself and thought... "why can't I be like God?"...and well know where that lead to. So Lucifer wasn't always bad :\.

Lucifer is the name of the king of Babylon not the name of Satan. God specifically called him Satan which means rebel so that people would not be using his name all the time.
that way his name would be famous. Which is not something he is entitled to.
The Babylon king wanted to be thought of as a bearer of light and picked that name for himself.
