Another question; what did spiders need their venom and webs for? Trapping leaves and paralyzing them? But Creationists haven't ever asked themselves this...

This is their defense mechanism. This is how they are able to reproduce (because they survive attacks).

Fall of man is subjectional except to literalists.

Lots of other insects, animals and plants have defense mechanisms that would seem to reject literalists.

I once saw a PBS show about these fish that swam in groups. Only, there was one male. When that male died, the lead female physically changed into a male! And she led the rest of the pack.

You won't find open-mindedness everywhere.

ps - I have 4 ant bite scars that are quite itchy! They weren't trying to eat or conquer me, just trying to protect their colony. Ok - they were trying to conquer me! ;) Why do bees set off a scent that gets the rest of the bees on attack mode? PROTECTION of their species.

Some grass fights back. Ever try to take down a piece of sawgrass without venom? It's not easy.

While your thoughts are generally intriguing, a dog eating grass is totally normal (otherwise the dog wouldn't do it). Dogs actually also swallow stones to help digest the grass. It is like humans eating fiber, same purpose. And, dogs don't have little teeth, they have relatively large teeth, just put your finger in a dog's mouth and have it close it.

no real idea how to answer that but pherhaps it was there just to give variety to the creation incase for what ever reason it was necessary the creatures where themselves before and after the fall and there is no way to really prove when or if the snake developed venom

No, of course not. However, many things changed when Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden.

I'm a Christian who believes in the creation, and I also believe that God uses evaluation as part of an ongoing process of creation.

Do you really think the entire universe can be explained as the product of random, blind chance? I mean do you really believe that? Life, water, light, gravity, intellect...all just uninspired, bull**** luck? Do you think that is a rational position to take?

I don't know when snakes were given their aggressive features, but I don't see it as impossible that they were given after the fall of man, and if not certainly at least magnified as a result.
