So my sister came to visit and now all of a sudden there are no more games on my computer. The ones that I have the CD for still work...but the ones that came with it...like minesweeper, freecell, spider solitaire, etc. are all gone. I have searched for them and I went to help with microsoft where I was informed that I must have never installed them. Of course, I don't have the CDs that came with this computer anymore. Is there any way I can get them back or find them for free on the internet? I have tried to "restore" my computer to before she came but that did nothing. Of course, she has no idea what I am talking about. Please help.

If the files are deleted, then you won't be able to get them back without the Windows CD - a 'restore CD' like the kind that comes with laptops & brand name computers will not work because they wipe out your hard drive and restores everything.

It's possible that just the shortcuts to the games have been lost -not the game files themselves. In that case, you'll have to manually create short-cuts for them.
(I'm assuming that you have Windows XP.)

-The pinball game is in the "C:\Program Files \ Windows NT \ Pinball" folder.
-The Internet games are in the "C:\ Program Files \ MSN Gaming Zone \ Windows" folder.
-The other games are in the "C:\ Windows \ System 32" folder:
Mine Sweeper (winmine.exe)
Hearts (mshearts.exe)
Solitaire (sol.exe)
Spider Solitaire (spider.exe)
FreeCell (freecell.exe)

You might be able to find freeware games similar to the stock Microsoft games if you look out on the Internet, so losing the stock games isn't a big deal.

To get those games back you can try running the systems restore program to a time before you sister visited.

yep, you're right, something is missing - the power supply !! i get headache when i see the name Diablotek, this is a piece of garbage. you can't be serious to choose an i7-2600K and a Diablotek psu. a power supply is important for the system stability and therefore you shouldn't skimp on it. get an 80+ Certified psu. the best brands are Corsair, XFX, Cooler Master and Antec (a 550W psu of one of these brands provide considerably more power than a 600W Diablotek).

if you have your windows OS cd (windows xp, windows 98), insert it in the cd/dvd rom drive. look for the add/remove windows components, click it and look for accessories and utilities. highlight it and click details. check the games option and click ok. and click next to finish the installation.

hope that helps...
