How long is a long time?
I never say it first....some guys are much more emotional than others but if he doesn't say it after several months I would worry about how committed he is. Just say it when you guys are alone and cuddling or something but if he doesn't say it back or things get awkward rethink the relationship. This bf I had years ago never said it so after 10 months I said I love you and he said" i don't know what to tell you, I care about you but...." It def sucked. but my bf now tells me like 50 times a day.

I was in the same boat as you..I realized I loved my girlfriend but didn't want to say it to her too early and get her freaked out..on my birthday we had a bonfire at the beach and we were just laying there.. and she turned to me and said" you know I love you right?" and it was great..I told her that I had already started loving her..it was the best birthday present I ever got..even better than the new car I got surprised with 2 nights later..I miss her...=(

You should make a nice dinner and tell him to come over. make sure you make it ... it means more. tell him you have really strong feelings for him and your falling in love. dont come right out and say it, you might scare him. before my husband and i got married he told me on our second date he loved me and it really pushed me away. after a couple months though i felt the same. just tell him how your feeling but make sure BEFORE you tell him. if you dont know ask yourself these questions ...
1. do you still get butterflys in your stomach
2. are you still going to love him in 50 years from now?
3. would he make a good father?
I still get butterflies in my stomach after 3 years and a baby. Hope i helped you out

I am in the same situation. I've wanted to say it to him so many time's but I chicken out. I know he feels the same but we have never told each other. I have hinted around but never came right out and said those 3 little words.

If you like a boy don't be afraid to say i love you I've been shy most of my life and it got me no where so just say i love you your life will be a Lot simpler if you learn to not be shy

b4 u hang up da phone make sure 2 say i luv u. you'll have 2 pull it out of ur mouth. it'll be hard but if he feels da same way he'll say it 2, and if he don't u jus gotta wait 4 it, if u really luv him
