Would it not be the Devil's most finest invention to twist men away from the Divine by tempting them with salvation through a man, and can it be construed that Jesus' words were not forthright but through translation and interpretation his original sarcasm was lost?

be warned that all who answer he was God only have his word to go by and his intention was never to create a new religion but reform the Jewish faith, even the Jews thought Jesus was a blasphemer

even in the bible it says Satan was God's most perfect angel.

also note that in the bible Jesus does not refer to himself as God or son of God until he asks Peter who do you think I am.

one last thing to those who have responded, Satan is a hebrew word that means Adversary.....even in the Bible Satan comes to the earth to do the bidding of God. It can then be infered that the angel is an adversary to Men not to God, and the words of Jesus clearly state that men are Evil by nature, but we are creatures of the Divine and thus created in the image of God so if Jesus thinks us Evil he thinks God evil as well. By the way just wanted to stir the cauldron.......its a fascinating tale, but i myself beleive it a fable.

it would seem that your bible is reaffirming me that Jesus was refering to god when he said satan tempted him.....Jesus said Satan told him that he would give him the world if he bowed before him and Jesus was put to the fore front of the people as God........yet your passages proclaim that God gave him the world and its possessions

Nina, read your own scriptures...

Not once in the bible does it refer to Jesus as God. It refers to him only as the son of God and seeing that your scriptures so clearly state, "Worship no false idol". Jesus is technically a false idol as he is NOT your 1 and true god.

As for the question.. Considering it is supposedly stated that the antichrist will come, and seemingly solve all of humanities problems, then the true saviour will come...

To me, that just seems that the 'true' saviour is copping off the 'anti christs' work.. After all, The anti christ comes along, cures all our cancers, gives world peace and prosperity... Then 100 years down the road, Christ comes along and says he is evil.. Then a bunch of fanatic christians burn one more guy (who probably helped save their dying relative of cancer) at a stake.. All because one guy claims to be the true saviour, yet does nothing to prove it..

Wow, that makes it fair.. You can be Gods slave in heaven, or Satans slave in hell.. Which do you choose?

It is also possible that, as the bible is the work of man.. That it is all bullshit anyway.. Just as the christians state about the pagan religions.

What will be here in 200 more years, to claim christianity as a heretic religion? What will the christians do when they themselves are classed as pagans and heathens?

Most people think in Christianity there is only one god, but there was the god that created the earth and his son Jesus, which was also a god, in Judaism they worship the original god, Jesus was also a Jew, Christianity worships Jesus..As he was human he is now a holy spirit and so on.. I think if he was Satan he would of done a bit differently, Satan is also the Son of God as are all of the angels, Satan was an angel exiled from heaven.. which means he should look innocent just like the other angels do, there were more than one angel exiled from heaven but he was the original or the worst or something.. Jesus was not an angel as he was a human and a god at the same time. As they were both God's Son (god being Jehovah(like Jehovah's Witness..the religion)) then Satan and Jesus were brothers, also if the earth is perfect because god created it and it was manipulated by Satan.. how come God created Satan so imperfect, and if perfection is through imperfection then God should accept him as he is.. it gets a bit out of hand, there is also not a lot of proof of Jesus, If the devil tricked people with a fake Jesus then god would forgive, he would also raise a new religion rather than being king of the Jews. There may have been things lost in translation, but if there was too much, we'd be told by those who can read the original language bible.

It is almost an interesting thought, if only the life and death of Jesus were given to go by. But there are far too many miracles, the leading of the Jews out of slavery, ten commandments and other things BEFORE and AFTER Jesus that must be considered. Those completely discount your theory. Sorry to burst the bubble of blasphemy.
Jesus was the son of God. He took human form and came to earth to save our eternal souls and rescue us from damnation. It saddens me how much people can easily disregard all that was given for them before they were even created.

If it's "allegory" & "mystery", then it never happened.
Allegoric mystery is neither literal nor historical data.
The Bible is more like the ultimate matrix to navigate.
The two options thereof are "escape" or "no escape".
The objective is to solve the mystery of God in time.

As for God, he is "excepted"(exempt) from the shew.
God is not a man that he should lie (law) or die (law).
As for Satan, it's allegory for Law, also called D-evil.

When the shew ended properly, as written, none perish.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

During the time of Jesus of the Bible there were many others who claimed to be the messiah and were named Jesus. The Jesus we are told about some 60 plus years after his death is given this position. He was a rebel with a cause! That is what has been written.

After answering I read other answers and the one that has me in circles is the wording that he took human form came to earth to save us from damnation. I know the bible teaches us this but- HELLO!!

Wolf of the Red Moon,

To answer your questions simply ....
Yes, Jesus did exist, no He is not Satan, and yes He is God.

Now let's get into the Word of God to show you. I predict that you will not understand anything I relay to you because you are not saved but I'll be kind and answer your questions.

II Corinthians 4:3, 4 But even if our gospel (good news) is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age (Satan) has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ , who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Did He even exist at all?

The OT testifies to Jesus' coming and the NT speaks of His birth and His short life here on the earth.

OT - The pre-existence of Jesus affirmed in OT

Psalm 2:7-12 I will declare (recount) the decree: The LORD has said to Me, You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

NT- proclaimed by the apostles

Colossians 1:15-18 He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

OT - Birth of Jesus predicted
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the LORD Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (God with us).

NT - The fulfillment of His birth
Matthew 1:18-25

NT - In the fulness of time

Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son (Jesus), born of a woman, born under the law.

OT - The Deity of Jesus

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder, And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Did you pick up on Everlasting Father we're talking about Jesus in this passage of Scripture.

NT - Acknowledged by Christ

John 20:28, 29 And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

NT - Acclaimed by witnesses

John 1:1, 14, 18 1 In the beginning (was) the Word, and the Word (was) with God, and the Word (was) God. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

Let's do a little deductive reasoning. In the beginning (before creation) the Word (Jesus) was with God (the Father & Holy Spirit) and the Word was God ... can you get any clearer?

Now which person of the Trinity took on flesh? The second person of the Godhead ... Jesus.

NT - Affirmed by apostles

Romans 9:5 of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

Hebrews 1:8 But to the Son He (Father) says; Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.

And finally ....
Matthew 22:44 The LORD (Father - eternal One) said to my Lord (Jesus - the title of majesty and kingship; master), Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.

Jesus is the Son of God.

Jesus is the son of God born to a human, Mary.

Jesus Christ is one and the same, the son of God.

There are many names for Jesus.

And other religions may not necessarily believe in the same God as Christianity does.

A very good chance he didn't exist, and if he did exist, there's a 0% chance he was anything like he was portrayed in the bible. The bible just ripped other god myths.
