no silly answers, please. beer relaxes the crap out of me, and i was wondering if beer makes you comfortable? it does me, and i want to know if this is a problem, because otherwise, when i am sober, i am the most shy person you will meet. what do you think?

Beer or any alcohol has a tendency to relax the body. This is because it's running thru your veins and thru your brain. If you feel more confident, it's false. You are more likely to say and do things you wouldn't normally do....including and most likely....STUPID things. There is nothing wrong with having a couple of beers or drinks...given you are of age...as long as you are mature enough to recognize your 'limit'. If you can't tell when you've had 'enough' you shouldn't be drinking at all. If you aren't of legal age...remember...you are breaking the law.

Beer, or alcohol in general, will make you feel more confident and relaxed because it tends to slow down the brains higher-most functions, those responsible for determining outcome and predicting the future. As such, you don't worry as much about what people may be thinking about you or how they might respond, making you much less shy. At the same time, heavy drinking can impede your judgement to the point of stupidity. Have fun and happy drinking!

I do understand what you mean. I don't drink beer. I think it's nasty. I drink wine and other stuff. If I have enough, I'm the life of the party. When I sober up... well, I can be witty and funny, but I'm usually a little more reserved. lol

It makes you comfortable temporarily: just be careful because if you drink too much you go from comfortable to making a fool out of yourself.

well im already confident...but beer does tend to make me say things i would never when im sober. it makes me feel mellow..its gr8

All alcohol gives you a false sense of confidence.I'm confident naturally but it loosens my tongue more!
