A good program to merge to clips of a movie seemlesly?

i have sin city, but its in two parts, how do i put them together, and please say a fairly good, and common program, one that a lot of people use

If they're AVI, there's a program called QuickAVI Joiner, can't remember where I got it, but it works wonders. I know there's a couple others out there for other formats, but I've forgotten what they are.

windows movie maker. every one has it (built into all windows versions) - and its free

easy to use, as well - just click and drag.
