Mormon4Jesus, I have been thinking about your question. 'How does any Christian know the Holy Spirit is bearing witness of the truth to us?' I know since I was filled with the Holy Spirit when the Pastor prayed for me & an anointing left his hands on me when he said for me to be ready... & I praised God in tongues & lifted up my hands straight to heaven. This is the anointing I received thru hands, the Spirit of Truth who leads into all truth. 1Jn2:27. Now, the Holy Spirit confirms Gods Truth in my Spiritman. Sometimes when someone else has a Word of wisdom or speaks in tongues, the Spirit will confirm to me in my spirit man by moving in my spiritman & I praise God in Spirit also. The Holy Spirit confirms a prophetic Word or a Word of Knowledge or if someone is speaking a message in a different language, if the message is from God. Because then the spirit moves on me & I praise God in the Spirit. This is how the Holy Spirit confirms or bears witness of another in Christ to me.

Mormons, she is asking "Mormons how do you know that the Holy Ghost is picking you to bear your testimony, during testimony meetings?"
Usually I would feel it was my turn, I can't explain it, I would just jump up there and say my testimony. I think it was more like pior pressure, I hadn't done it in a while so I needed to do it.
Usually what happens is the bishop will say the meeting is open for testimonies and anyone who wants to bear their testimony can come up to the mike and say it. It was great practise for speaking in public...in the mormons favor...that is.

Sometimes they "feel" it because it was their turn to accept the Book of Mormon challenge in Priesthood meeting where some poor sap is chosen to place a Book of Mormon with one of their non-member "friends" and then report on the experience the next week. For most it is a very painful experience, unless they're like Dwight from "The Office."

I don't know that I understand the question, but I would answer with another question.
How does any Christian know when the Holy Spirit is bearing witness of the truth to us? I mean, obviously people like Oregon flower thinks it's to her and not to us, but I feel differently. So, how do you know anthing like that?

The still small voice.
1 Kings 19:11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Ironic isn't it..the mormons want to believe in a triune God, (as Holy Spirit is part of Trinity), but then in the next breath, reject God as eternal, reject Jesus as eternal, and teach they too can become gods, just like the current god they worship was once a man.
Hhhmmm trying to have an eternal God and a newly promoted God...just can't have it both ways!!
As for "Holy Spirit"...I'm not sure WHO they are refering to...just like when you or me say Jesus, we're talking about the eternal Son of God...not created son of god, and definitly not the angelic brother of lucifer.
See ... just because we use the same title or name, doesn't mean we're both talking about the same person. Their own teachings show they aren't even talking about the same person(s).

We are all entitled to receive a wittness of truth from the Holy Ghost. Prophets aren't the only people who talk to God. And it's certainly counterproductive if the church wants us just to follow.

I'm not sure I understand the question.
No one can bear my witness of my faith and my testimony but myself.

Actually, the Mormon "leader" even has the authority to discount Biblical Truths. What the "prophet" says is considered directly from God, even if it goes against the Bible.
They obviously haven't read the part in God's Word that tells us to "test the prophets"!
Go figure . . .
