It depends on what kind of food you like. Are you celebrating with friends and/or family or just your significant other?

Pizzeria Paradiso has good pizza, but go to the Georgetown location, as the Dupont Circle location is tiny, tiny, tiny.

My boyfriend loves Busboys and Poets near U Street (they also have a Virginia location), but they're kind of noisy.

You could check out the scene in Adams Morgan--there are tons of bars and restaurants there. I love Meskerem Ethiopian.

try tyler cowen's dining guide. he's a george mason professor who eats out A LOT. it's a lot of information, but use the neighborhood/cuisine filters on the right sidebar and it's a lot easier.
