Only Operation Desert Storm approximated the strategy of blitzkreig employed by the Wermacht and Luftwaffe. But, unfortunately for Saddam Hussein, he had executed General Rashid (the "Rommel of Arabia") in 1979. That's one of the big reasons why the armored defense of Iraq's Republican Guard came apart like the seams on a cheap suit. Hussein had also executed all of the members of Rashid's staff as well.

The doctrine begun by the Germans at the end of WW I and improved at the beginning of WW II are what is known in some circles as third-generation warfare, and the extension of that idea is what the US doctrine has been since then. Both wars with Hussein's army were stunning in the US ability to fight third-generation warfare. That of course means that you have to be nuts to try to fight a third-generation war against the US, and we've lost at least three fourth-generation wars, so guess which we're likely to see in the future?!

The action to take Iraq was Blitz Krieg based and to a degree the air mobile concept used there and is Vietnam is just an additional piece of the concept. Blitz Krieg is the father of mobile operations and is constantly refined and changed as weapons changed; though the chances of it going to the massive armor battles of WW2 are not high the movement of heavily armed/equipped infantry units by light armored vehicles and helicopters is still modified form of it.

the Six days war was the Izraeli tactical analogy to the Barbarossa. They bombed the Arabs away from the 20th century. Much like Germans managed it with the frontline units of russian air force.

Generally all the conflicts of middle east, where Izrael participated, were adopting the blitzkrieg tactics.
