We went out to eat, and i gave this guy the middle finger. maybe its kinda wrong, but COME ON. I AM 15 FREAKING YEARS OLD!!!! way to old for what he did next!! He screams my name, pulls my pants down and spanks me on his knee RIGHT IN FRONT OF EVERYONE!!! I obviously started screaming at him, and he threw me over his shoulder and carried me into the restroom. I had to sit there until my family was done eating. I KNEW people there. it was so embarrassing, WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING THROUGH THE MAN'S HEAD??

Okay, I'm 15 and I never act like that. That was unbelievably childish. You need to grow up.

I am 27 years old and the only person i would ever even think of giving the finger to in front of my parents would probably be my brother who is six years older than me. And i have never even done that.

It's our job as parents to teach a child right from wrong. Obviously your parents are still working on it. He shouldn't have spanked you, and definitely not pulled your pants down in a restaurant. But you were in the wrong too.

maybe you think it's cool to give someone the middle finger. don't worry, i thought so too a long time ago. (But never in front of my parents, they would have pulled down my pants and spanked me and sent me to the bathroom.) I grew up and so will you.

The way you stated your question made it seem like just some guy in there started to spank you for flipping him the bird, there was no reason to add the DUH to anything and seem rude to other people.

It seems you are a bit of a brat, for 15 years old and flipping off someone in front of your parents. Your father was probably overly angry at something and overreated, as you are definately too old to be spanked. What was going through his head? Who knows, probably anger and frustration at the situation, just as you were probably angry and frustrated. If you think you can talk to him about it, do so and try and convey the point that you are too old to be spanked in front of people like that, and perhaps just sending you to the car would have been a better punishment.

It's not that parents are so stupid -- you should have asked "why are kids so ugly, me and, and rude to their parents?"

You are right, you are too old for that kind of spanking, but hey, if I had a child giving me the finger I'd do something crazed too! You are lucky he did not do worse.

Show him a little respect and perhaps you'll get some respect back your way.

It sounds like you both need to grow up. If I owned the restaurant, I would bar you both from returning.
Do you honestly think that your actions are OK or only "kinda wrong" because you're 15? You should feel more embarrassed about people seeing you act like a moron than for how "this guy" treated you.

1 you are too old to be spanked
2esp on your bottom, maybe a whupping with a belt would be better
3 your dad shouldn't pull your pants down
4 your feelings should be taken into consideration, you shouldn't spanked in public, at your age you shouldn't be spanked at all

HE PULLED DOWN YOUR PANTS?!?!?!!!! That is wrong on so many levels. Has he ever done this type of thing before? any kind of disrobing you for any purpose? What did your mom do?
although you should not give people the finger, his response was TOTALLY inappropriate and quite frankly abusive.
I am concerned.

So it's true, having children makes you stupider...
Ah well, next time show some respect when you're with your parents, and behave in a civilized manner so they can be proud of your behaviour, rather than being a disrespectful child.

While I do think that your father overreacted - step back and think about your actions FIRST. He was embarrassed that his daughter flipped off another customer. He thinks he raised you better than that. It is NEVER acceptable to flip someone off - just isn't. Yet it is very prevalent in our culture. :-/

Personally, as a mom, I would have escorted you out of the resturaunt and we would have sat by the car and waited for the rest of the family to finish their meal. You my dear would have gone dinner free for the night.

Pretty is, as Pretty does. If I were your family, I would have left you sitting by yourself. GROW UP! Learn from your mistakes and try to act like a lady.
