Okay, my friend likes this guy named Josh. (She's in ninth grade, and so is he.) They've liked each other since 7th grade. But he can be a jerk and he likes her one minute, then he doesn't. She's tried to turn the feelings off but it hasn't worked.
He has a gf right now, who goes to a different school.

Lately she's been having dreams with her and him in it. It will all start off fine, but then she'll wake up crying or kicking or screaming. I stayed at her house one night. And it was quite scary. These dreams are affecting her badly. Why do you think she's having these dreams?

Does it mean that there's hope for them, or nothing is every going to change for her?

Omg!! Are you kidding me, I'm not a lesbian and neither is my friend!! That is horribly wrong. . . I would kill myself if I was gay. (I'm sorry but it's true.)

Tell her to talk to her school counsellor or nurse. As far as this girl friend/boy friend thing, you and your friends are much, much too young to start carving your relationships in stone. Just the same, to wake up "kicking or screaming" on a regular basis, no matter what the subject of the dream is, is something responsible adults need to pursue. I strongly suspect something else is going on, and some professional counsellors need to have a talk with your friend--but that needs to happen by way of her parents or guardian. Sorry, dear, but there is something more going on than you or we Yahoo busybodies can address.

Tell "Your Friend" that she is actually a lesbian. "She" doesn't really like this Josh person but in fact she has deep hidden feels for her "friend". Hold on, you know what, this is dumb, I'm not going to play around with your little silly games. You are the one having these dreams and this Josh guy is an representation of your friend (your girl friend). You been with her through hard times and you have grown deeply attached with her. Your mind is using Josh as a symbol for your lesbian lust because you are also in denial. For all this time you have been hiding your true feelings but now they are catching up and soon you will realized who you actually admire. I hope you really change you ways Courtney and please you can be yourself, you don't have to be afraid anymore.
