sometimes a dogs breath can smell as a result of digestive problems not just there teeth i know this for a fact my dog had her teeth scraped and polished and a couple of teeth removed she was 14 but within two weeks her breath was as bad seeing as we are not vets i would recommend a visit to your vet and see what they say

The simple answer is bacteria in the mouth and gut. Bacteria in the mouth can lead to tooth decay and gumdisease (which can lead to heart conditions), and can be controlled by regular brushing, good diet, and natural teeth cleaners. The bacteria in the gut which cause offensive breath are more apparent in dogs who are having trouble digesting their diets. The solution to this is to feed a highly digetible, quality doet, and keep your dog in good health. Dogs breath REALLY shouldn't smell 'too' bad, and if it does, it can be a sure fire way that the body is imbalanced in some way.

This is easy, Dogs' breath smell so bad because the dog food brands actually have a digested scent that most noses react to. IT's the dog food. some are more scented then others but their digestion is what causes the scent to flow into the breath.

Cheap grain filled food bought from the grocery store or Walmart. Food with more then 2 grains listed in the first 5 ingredients, canine dental disease caused by the previous mentioned. Other diseases can also cause bad breath but it generally always leads back to the FOOD.
You put garbage into the dog and you get garbage back out of him.

this is caused by your dogs teeth, they usually have lots of plaque and this makes there breath smell. You need to brush your dogs teeth every day, you can buy tablets to help with the smell and buy special treats ie, dental sticks and biscuits.

Think about it. Most people don't brush their dog's teeth. If we went out entire lives without ever brushing our teeth then our breath would smell bad also.

How old is your dog? If adult teeth are growing in, this too can cause bad breath, in addition to some of the responses.

bacteria in the mouth, try brushing them with toothpaste from the pet store or go to the vets and have them cleaned by them. Also there are some dog chews that are for this reason called dental sticks and they do help

Let's see, they eat dog food and can't brush their own teeth. Your breath would smell too in that situation!

Dogs can have bad breath due to several reasons> A few of them can be dental,there kidneys going bad ect.
