Cold water first to prevent the blistering then a gentle wash with soap and water to remove the grease residue. Cover loosely with a clean bandage. After an hour or so try some burn cream - Neosporin for burns is good - but it still needs air to promote healing.

I always have an aloe vera plant in my home for injuries like burns, scratches etc. Just tear the plant open and there is a substance inside to rub on the burn. It really works!

If they aren't real bad, clean the area with soap and water and then split an aloe leave open and place on top and cover with a loose dressing. Butter, and all that other stuff can cause an infection.

BURNS:

Splash vinegar on burns for almost instant relief.

Use aloe vera gel immediately on a burn to avoid having the area scarred.

Keep pure Lavender oil on hand to apply to burns for relief.

Dab pure cold-pressed sesame oil onto any kind of burn or sunburn for relief.

Applying Purell clear gel hand sanitizer to minor burns helps heal them faster.

Sunburn can be treated with a cold compress of black or green tea. You can use the teabag you use in your cup of hot tea. Put it in a plastic zippered bag, and store them in the freezer to use as needed. It's the tannic acid in tea that helps.

If you burn your tongue while drinking something too hot, rinse your mouth with cold water then place some pure vanilla extract on your tongue to stop the pain.
