I don't consider myself qualified to judge the accounting in the paper, and I doubt most other people on here are qualified for that, either.
Just from reading the text here, it's clear that there's a strong bias of the author towards illegal immigrants. That said, the basic points - that all illegals pay certain taxes (e.g. sales taxes) and many pay income taxes and social security taxes are certainly true, as is the point that illegals are ineligible for most government benefits, and are very reluctant to take even the ones they are eligible for. It's probably correct. However, most people who are opposed to immigrants will either ignore this, or will just switch to a different argument.

ALOT, even if they taking low paying jobs and not all do, they bring their kids, who go to school on our dime, seek medical care- then apply for welfare/state aid due to lack of ability to pay. Hospitals and amubulance services are not allowed to ask citizenship. only ability to pay. I know I work for private amubulance. We get stiffed by illegals we haul when they are in car wrecks. Think they have insurancce? Think again. They get food stamps, fuel assistance, etcs. I've seen it. AMERICA THE FREE
Now if they pay taxes they need a social security card. YOURS. And of course people arguee they will never see the taxes they pay. Yeah well it will take you years to recover or straighten out all the debt incurred under your social security number that was used.
Unducumented workers? They have documents. The wrong ones. So for all of you who feel empathy for anyone here illegally, I challenge you to post your social security number on a website for them to use. (afterall they have needs to)

So our Federal government is lie when they say it cost us 10 billion more then we take in from illegal aliens.
Not counting the 6 to 7 billion that California spends on the state level.
Strange.

i see nothing in reference to identity fraud i think that fact would be critical to the total factual basis of the whole study. false identity opens all doors to government services and credit. but they wouldn't look into that because then their study wouldn't say what they want it to say. i learned a long time ago that what is not said and between the lines tells you way more then just the study or written word itself!!! nice try though A for effort F for the BS factor and lack of thoroughness on your part. oh, by the way it doesn't go against common thought it goes against common sense.

Here we go again, everything measured by the dollar. Thats what got us all the illegals in the first place. Greedy business wanted cheap labor at all costs. Not everything in life can be measured in dollars and cents. I want my kids to be able to find minimum wage jobs while they are in school but the illegals have taken most of them. Dollars can't fix that.

They are probably only counting the parents as illegal immigrants and not their children.
Their children use government services also but they are counted as citizens.

Cost of illegal immigration? Let me tell you about some of it from the first hand eye witness account. I'll drop the bomb shell on the readers at the end.
1) Illegal aliens, not immigrants, lets call them what they are, come to this nation to take advantage of wrongfully supplied free medical, free education, and subsistence all on the backs of taxpayer dollars. In just California alone that amounts to over $6 Billion annually and that doesn't include the crime, gang, and drug problem they bring with them.
2) I have personally witnessed women come from South America, live on U.S. tax dollars for a few months, have a baby in a U.S. hospital on taxpayer expense, and then a week later return to Mexico. In one case the same woman did this twice. That's just one out of how many? This doesn't even get reported in the news nor in government accounting.
3) While our government was so interested in stealing our tax dollars to give them to illegals for all manner of things, that same government stole from Social Security, Social Security Disability, and all manner of social spending that did get funding to pay for it. Now, instead, they want to cut Social Security, cut Social Security Disability, and tell the people who were forced to pay into it all of their lives who the government now admits ave been bled dry by the economy of their savings that their lives no longer matter. They tell us that these programs are coming to an end while they steal even more tax dollars to give to illegals. Sure! Go ahead! Tell the people who paid into it all their lives that they will now continue paying into it for years beyond they are likely to live before they can retire and try to live on a pittance. Tell the people who are permanently disabled that they can have someone drag them off into a gutter and die because they no longer are productive.
4) Jobs? Interesting how the writer of this trash being responded to never mentioned the cost of U.S. citizen unemployed dragging on the unemployment rolls. How much did that illegal alien job cost us now? We pay for their subsistence plus put a U.S. citizen out of work. What's next? Illegal aliens are now saints too? They just violated our laws by being illegal aliens" to begin with. Are we now supposed to believe that after that they violate no more laws? Pay taxes? Since when have all illegal aliens been property owners? If you are here illegally how do you file taxes? With a stolen Social Security number? Who ends up paying for that? Moreover, how much do they get back in free money at other taxpayers expense when people can get back more than what they paid in? How much property tax are they paying? You know, the money that goes toward the $38 Billion annually for just the cost to educate illegal aliens.
5) Did I mention the cost to the individual U.S. citizen who one day finds out life didn't quite work out the way it's supposed to when they suddenly become permanently disabled? They're still required to pay taxes for all manner of things even without having an income! Then they lose their home because disability doesn't cover everything since government doesn't want to keep up with the cost of living and yest still finds Billions for illegal aliens. It's sick enough that some idiot decided we had to add druggies to the disability rolls, but people with real disability afflictions can rot in the gutter as now homeless. Property taxes alone are killing them and the home gets taken by the government or sold prior to that just so the disabled can run out of whatever funds they have left before curling up to sleep at night in a cardboard box in an alley. That's not some leftist hand-wringing society garbage. It's reality!
6) Then there's the claim that illegals don't vote. Really? Guess again. State and federal ballots as well as initiatives are all carried on the same ballot at election time. No one checks to see if you are a U.S. citizen or not for local and state initiatives and local offices. Yes, illegals in many, if not most, states can and do vote on state and local ballot races and initiatives. So what are you going to do? Warn them that they can't vote for president? Who is going to know? It's illegal to check with a secret ballot.
And now that "bomb shell" I promised.
My wife is formerly a Mexican National. She's a Latina who had been in country legally for 35 years with a permanent residency. She just went after and achieved her U.S. citizenship, registered Republican, and is one of Donald Trump's biggest fans. Yes, my family is voting TRUMP 2016. Why? Because of everything I just mentioned above and more. No legal U.S. citizen who achieved it by doing things the right way, the legal way, the honorable way, want's to be forced to pay for those who do not at the taxpayers expense.
TRUMP 2016
