mine gets 50% what i can lift from tesco`s and 50% of my veggie food,hasnt died yet and he`s 9 the vet said he would die within 6 months but then again he was selling me b.s.e meat they couldnt get into the human food chain
Dont worry bout those middle class fools,dogs are both omnivorous and scavengers,my last dog was vegan for 16 yrs thru choice,well dairy products made his stomach upset and he only liked fish.These people dont overstand the physiollagy of dogs,maybe they dont see they have 2 sets of teeth like us,

Not a problem as long as you monitor his protein intake- stay away from starchy foods and really fiborous vegetables.
Had a friend who was a Vegan and his dog was vegetarian, a border collie who lived to eighteen.
Dogs are omnivores, my dog Lisa used to pick her own brambles and Jasper would clear the garden of peas if he got out in it.

Dogs need both meat and vegies... not just one. Your dog needs a well balanced meal. It's very hard to feed your dog a "raw" diet. The best thing is a good quality dog food. It's hard to figure out if the dog has had enough of the things that they need.

While dogs CAN survive soley on vegatables and fruit, it isn't exactly healthy or safe unless you know what to feed them to be sure they recieve a balanced diet. Personally, I feed my dog with table scraps and Beneful and she stays at a healthy weight and is very happy and content. I really don't think you should tey to make a vegitarian out of your dog, it just wuldn't be very happy or energetic. ;-)

okay listen and listen good DOGS EAT MEAT so if your some smelly hippie activist then you are essentially poisoning your dog so isnt that against everything you stand for? you might as well walk around in fur coats and poach elephants just for their ivory seriously dogs eat meat they cant just eat veggie food if he is eating it and you arent feeding him anything else i really hope he runs away and actually finds a good home!

Hard to do - need to make very sure he gets about 30% protein per meal.

Dogs are carnivores, not vegetarians. If you can't handle that FACT you shouldn't own a dog.
