can i get my w2 online?

i worked at this place from january of 2007 till september 2007 and i wanted to know if i can get my w2 online? i need my w2 from this place because i am forced to file my w2 and pay my taxes and have everything clear before febuary of 2008.

W2 has employee's salary information till December 31st. Employers and expected to issue W2 to the employees by Jan 31 next year. It is employer's choice to put W2 information online, so you should enquire from your employer.

In most cases, your last paycheck statement has all the information that will appear on W2. So you can work on your return yourself, and file it when you actually receive your W2. Make sure that information from your last paycheck statement matches the information on your W2.

Even if you company puts your w-2 online, it probably won’t be there until at least December. But you can make your employer give you a paper copy before then.

If employment ends before December 31, 2007, you may furnish copies to the employee at any time after employment within 30 days of the request or within 30 days of the final wage payment, whichever is later.

And the 2007 W2 s will not be done up until Jan 08 .
Employers have until the end of Jan to send W2s .

Even if that company puts their W-2's online (some companies do, most don't) it wouldn't be available until the end of the year, very likely not until the end of January. You can't file your 2007 return before January anyway.
