What are actions that would show a person as emotionally unstable in a child custody case?? What past actions will a father try to use against the mother if he's trying to say she's emotionally unstable??

The child is only 7 months & we were never married.

well the judge will most likely ask for an assesment by children services they will look at all sorts the mothers family history if she has any history of mental ilness ie self harm depression that sort of thing.how she grew up how she acts around baby who is the primary carer of the baby and what that consists of but i find though its not always the cae they do side with mum if possible but things are hanging.the judge will rule in favor of what is best for the baby

I don't think past actions matter as much as the actions after the baby is born. Just conduct yourself as good as you can. No drugs, partying, etc. Don't act like Brittney Spears. I can't believe that a judge would actually give her joint custody.

If you have seen a doctor for any emotional problems those records can be court order. If you have a history of suicide attempts, you may be ordered to see a counsler.
