I used to study hapkido. Yes Hapkido is the Korean version of aikido but it can be described as a combination of Tae Kwon Do & Aikido. While I sat in my daughters aikido classes, I always felt Hapkido was the more complete art. It has strikes, kicks, joint locks, throws and pressure point strikes. It stress both offense and defense, while aikido is basically just defense.

Aikido is used to harmonize defense and hapkido is almost the same thing but focuses more on dodging pressure points and vital areas.
