okay,
since it says in this recipe to to have unsalted butter, well i only have salted and the rule of thumb if you don't have unsalted is to omit 1/4 tsp of salt per 1/2 butter.

how much do i use i'm bad at this metric stuff

i have 1/2 tsp of salt
and it says 3/4 c. unsalted butter

You would be removing 3/8ths of a tsp of salt.

Just throw a pinch in and call it good. :)

This has nothing to do with metric measure.
We're just talking proportion here.
A stick of butter is 4 ozs by weight.
A pound of butter would be 2 cups.
Since you have 3/4 cup of butter,
that would be 3/8 tsp of salt less.
1/2 tsp is 4/8, less 3/8 is 1/8.
But this is not critical , forget the salt.

When in doubt...just eliminate the salt.
