Personally, I think you should either litterbox train your rabbit or put in a pet door for it and train it to go outside.

Forget pet stores! They make numerous unsuitable products, and of course price high. The cheapest possible large cage for a rabbit could be made of "cubes and cloroplast". These are basically flat grids which can be attatched to one another to create make shift furniture, such as shelves. They are sold in stores such as Wall Mart. Cloroplast is plastic sheets which can be cut and taped to create cage bases. These are often sold at art supplies stores.

In the case of rabbits, you'd need a minimum of 2' x 4' floor space. So you'd put togetherhowever many cubes ar needed (keep in mind you might need a ceiling, but many people have an open top cage without problems). If the rabbit is litter trained, you don't need to make a base, but use somethign liek carpeting. If you do use shavings, make a cloroplast base of the same cage measurements, and put one inside the other.

You could have 2 choices. 1 you can get some heavy chicken wire and build one ,thats what we did Its just 2by4s and the wire.the roof is easy. Or dig a square about 12 inches deep and put the chicken wire around with a chicken wire roof and it can live in the yard . You can make that one as big as you want. Hope that helps.
