Advantage is safe for puppies. Use that instead of flea collars. I don't like flea collars. They don't work well and can make them sick!

Honestly...dont buy flea collars...they are pretty much worthless. I've actually seen collars where fleas were hiding underneath the collar. Your best bet is to use Frontline. Its the best flea preventative out right now. Also do NOT use Hartz or anything you buy at Walmart....they say its suppose to work for at least 4 weeks..but they tend to wear out at about 1-2 weeks and can become toxic to your dog. Frontline you can get from your vet or order it through PetMeds. It is a little pricey but remember...you get what you pay for.

I don't like flea collars.
I don't trust the things and they don't usually work.
They just keep the fleas away from the dogs head.
If you have problems with fleas talk to the vet and they will help you out.
There are natural remedies as well so you don't have to use harsh chemicals.

I have a Tzu also. I use Advantage and it works great. I apply it between her shoulders once a month. It comes with stickers you can put on your calendar to remind you when you did it last. Takes almost 1 minute to do it. Your dog will be so much happier. You will too. I also give her heart worm pill the same day. Dont you have to change a collar once a month? m

Don't. Flea collars don't work and can poison the dog. Get flea meds from the vet. They are much better.

Never.

Flea collars are very ineffective. Instead use Frontline or Advantage.

No offense, but I don't find that flea collars are worth the effort of pulling out your wallet. Ask your vet about a monthly treatment.
