In Mathew 28:19, Jesus left instruction with in disciples to baptize all men in the name of the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, but Peter stood up and gave each man the plan of salvation in Acts 2:38 which says, Then Peter said to them, "Repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remession of sins."

Remember there are no contradictions here, just a "little" misunderstanding!

My baptism was in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. When Peter spoke of baptizing in the name of Jesus he was saying that he baptized with the authority of Jesus. A proper baptism is done through the trinity formula. Jesus-only baptism aren't sufficient Christian baptisms just as the Jesus-only movement is insufficient.

I have been baptized by immersion after I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, in the name of the Son and the Father and the Holy Spirit. The part of the accepting Jesus is also repenting from the sins and following His teachings.

The Trinity is very difficult to understand I know.
I was baptized in the name of the Father. the Son, and the Holy Ghost. I think that in Acts 2:38 Peter just saying that and isnt trying to disclude the rest of the Trinity but you know how people just sometimes say, "in the name of Jesus."

I was baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. But, I think there are some churches that do baptize in the name of Jesus Christ.Either way I believe is correct.

Why do you question this? Jesus is father son and holy spirit. Haven't you heard of Trinity? So it is the same.

Even if I had been I'd still be an atheist - who does that mythical fairy think he is that he can tap you and say 'you're it' and theres nothing you can do about it? Screw that.
