If you paid the fine already, then you no longer have a court date.

Unfortunately, if you paid then you plead guilty and no longer have to worry about court. I wish I could tell you otherwise but your insurance is going to go up. Even worse, it's going to go up a lot. I got 79 in a 65 at 18, and I pad about $2000 every six months for three years. If you're on your parents insurance, then it won't be as bad but if you're on your own then it will. I don't know who you're with, but when renewal comes around you might want to get a couple of new quotes, Nationwide has about the best (cheapest) indemnity program.

You are lucky that all that happened is you got a ticket.
My childhood friends were returning back from the beach, the son driving, his sister beside him, the parents in the second car with the 2 other siblings. Some kid, just like you, was doing 80 in a 65 and lost control, swerved over the lane and killed my two best friends. He wasn't drunk or anything, but they found that the tires of his truck were not made to do 80 mph on that type of road. The parents got to watch their son slammed into a car, their daughter thrown from the window like a sack of laundry.
I'd have you go to jail and contemplate your existence.

By paying the fine, the court entered a plea on your behalf. Some jurisdictions allow you to reopen the case if you can show cause. You will need to write a letter to the court and request this. The better your reasoning, the better the chance they will hear your case.

You already plead guilty when you paid the fine. It's over; slow down.

Yes. I am not sure if you can get a refund, but you certainly want to minimize the number of points on your license.
