Can you afford to go away somewhere and get married and only take the key people that matter most? I think that is a lovely idea, if it is financially possible. Otherwise, something local. A quaint chapel. Or Old Church and a low key reception that is more about a fun party and not about tradition. Don't try to mimic what 20-somethings are going. It will look false. But it is your day regardless so make it something special for you. :) Congrats!

For an outdoor occasion barefoot on a sunlit beach would be lovely or in a backyard of a good friend, a pretty park, a vinyard, a lookout offering great views, a special place that the two of you really enjoy,
For indoors try your local church, the clubhouse of a club or group you both belong too, the registry office, a local community or town hall, a function room of the local pub, etc.
Your wedding breakfast would then be tailored to fit the location of your choice. eg if at the beach you could eat at the local surf clubhouse, at the vinyard make use of their restaurent or have a catered picnic on the grounds.
I think you probably know this, but on no circumstances go back to the location of your first wedding!

Well, you can do anything you want. Do you want a destination wedding or a local wedding? If you want a local wedding, do you want a large "Cinderella" wedding, or perhaps something smaller and low key? If you want something smaller and low key, do you want something more casual? Outdoors? Wedding attendants or no attendants? Gown or cocktail dress? Etc. Etc. I'd have to have an idea of what you want, before making more specific suggestions.
