If it really bothers you that much, and you don't have a garage to park the truck in, then go to Lowes, Home Depot, etc, and buy a strip of the clear plastic carpet protecting runner with the little knobs on the underside. Throw the thing over the hood of your truck--upside down so that the knobs are on the outside. Cats do NOT like the feel of these on their paws, and she'll go elsewhere to a warm hood on someones vehicle who really doesn't mind.

Try putting some slightly crunched up sheets of foil on the truck where the cat wants to lay. Or something that is sticky, like upside down masking tape or contact paper. They don't like that. There are some commercial products that you can buy also to spray around and keep the cat from even coming near. It's nice that you're asking for suggestions instead of just thinking you need to get rid of the cat.

Our local cats like the hot spot on the hood too, we get them laying on the truck and the car. Doesn't bother us though, we don't mind them doing it. If you can park in a garage, that'll solve that. Otherwise you can throw a tarp or old floor rug over the hood if you don't want footprints on the vehicle.

Heck, I would like to know how to get one of mine to quit jumping into my truck when I get home from work and dont get out fast enough. They like the heat from the truck, just dont scare it while it is on the hood to keep it from scratching the paint.
