Is the The AppleCare Protection Plan any good. I would like to insure my macbook, but Apple are charging me £279 for 3 years, while other insures are obivously cheaper!!

The AppleCare Protection Plan only covers apple related problems (hardware and other technical mac bits) while other insures normally cover theft, accidental damage etc - does anyone know an insurer which covers both?

There you go = choice of two.

Pick whatever suits you .. if you are a Mac. computer expert who never has to ask for help, go for option 1 (alternative cover) .. If you know nothing about Mac's, take option 2.

NB. Mac's are NOT PC's .. many driver settings etc. are 'hidden' on a Mac. that are easy to find (and break) on a PC

This means it's MUCH harder to 'break' a Mac. (by fiddling with settings) but also MUCH harder to fix software problems (by adjusting settings)

definite! i could advise it. AppleCare is by ability of a strategies the wonderful industry warrantee available. they're going to shield it if something is going incorrect! I recommend, drop it or get some water on it and take it to the Mac shop and that they are soooo effective! in spite of the reality that the wonderful purchase unintended injury plan is super, too.

I'm a believer. I've ordered it with just about every Apple product I've bought. They provide phone support and will patiently talk you through any problems you may have. If your problem ends up being a hardware issue, they will send a box to your door for you to send in your computer for service. I am amazed at how quickly they will fix it, too. I highly recommend it.

i would never use a protection plan they are just a rip of, the chances of something going wrong and what you pay just doesnt make sense . just put that amount in your bank and everytime you think of taking out a PPP add that to the bank and you will be the winner i bet !! :)
