ok, ok, i bite my hands. i do want to stop, but idk how.
no1 would know unles i told them, b/c the bruese heal very quickly and i've never complained
i want to most when im nervous orscaraed or upset. in a sick, wrong way, it helps me feel better, like, somehow, idk, it just does.
i dont wanna tell my parents b/c they wont care/belive me. i've got 2 brothers2, so, like, i dont wanna worry them more either.
i want to stop this, but i dont know how. help!

I have a very similar problem, but that's just me. This needs to be treated like any addiction, so you can pretty much read anything about addiction to help.
I find that distracting yourself can help stop the urges. If you do something with your hands like play a game or an instrument it will help distract you.

There must be some other kind of pain you are experiencing and you bite yourself to escape this other pain? Please ask someone for help that can give you counseling and help you with the reasons why you are biting. Maybe you're having problems at home? Maybe you are just having a hard time emotionally, I don't know... but the biting is a problem because of another problem you have. In order to stop biting, you need to get help with your other issues in your life. Sounds like you don't trust that your parents will help you. Do you know anyone else that is an adult that will? If you don't, you can look for a teen help hotline in your phonebook and ask for advice. You need to stop hurting yourself, I know you don't like it, but emotionally that's the only way you know how to feel better... but sweetie, it's hurting you still, and it's not going to solve any problems. Please ask someone for help that can find out what is going on in your life. The yahoo answers board isn't a reliable place to go to.

It's your way of coping with stress... just remind yourself that in the long run the bad habit only causes more stress for you.
I'm a "recovering" cutter, so I sympathize.
Find something to do instead. Seeing how it's an oral fixation of sorts, maybe you could bite on a pencil, gum or carrot sticks. When I quit smoking I started sucking on tic tacs and twirled pens between my fingers.
When I'm trying to keep myself from cutting, I wear a rubberband around my wrist and snap it... I also journal, read my Bible and study.
I hope you find something that helps.

Tell your parents first, then get medical help.
I'm not a doctor and I"m not going to treat people online.
but here's my thoughts. first you have to start with the basics - nutrition - if you aren't getting good nutrition then you are going to have all kinds of trouble. exercise - our bodies were made to be used, exercise. sleep = your body needs rest daily or you won't function well.

it's a nervous condition, just like when people bite the inside of their lip(s). you probably do that and don't even know it. when you do realize you are, stop and try to concentrate on something else.
but still, do talk with your parents or at least try to.

i was told.to think about all of the germs that you put into your mouth.first from everything that you touch at lease 67% of all the things you touch the germs go under your nails.So i was told to just think of all the germs you are putting in your mouth.

you have to find some resolve about WANTING to stop. If it bothers you so much you have to use your will power to quit. Most habits aren't easy to break. You could also put a rubber band on your wrist and just snap it really hard if you do bite yourself idk.

Put something that tastes unpleasant on your hands, and let it dry. Like, OFF bug spray or something. Vicks vaporub. A really strong gross smelling hand lotion. You get the idea.
