I live in brighton Michigan and i would like to get a ferret when im older. Are they mean or vicous?? and is there a place to buy one around brighton michigan??

Ferrets are just awesome animals. I had the pleasure of owning one many years ago. It was a strange situation. Me and my little sister went into a pet store, There was about 10 ferrets in a box. One was a runt and was being eaten by the larger ferrets. They had literally chewed his little ears off to nubs! I informed the proprietor of this and she was very nonchalant about the situation and just turned and walked away. Well, being the animal loving individual that I am, the only solution I saw was to rescue the ferret. Now...being a kid and having no money to buy it with, I snuck it under my shirt and politely walked out of the pet store. The mean old bat owner chased me and demanded it back and said she was calling the cops. But I ran on. Now I do know that it is wrong to steal and I have never made a practice of it, but this was indeed something I could not stand by and let happen.

Absolutely not! (mean) They are playful, hilariously fun and funny to have. They use a cat's litter box so they have an area they go to the bathroom in. I don't know of anywhere in your area to get one but you should call a pet store and they should be able to help. You can also buy a book about ferrets and it will explain there ways to you. Ferrets can be very loving & affectionate. They're smart, playful & full of energy. Ours would play 'tag' with one of our cats, which was really fun to watch. She'd also steal small objects (keys, cat toys, etc.) & hide them in our walk-in closet.
When our ferret first gave me a little kiss on the arm, I was surprised b/c I'd imagined their tongues would be rough like cats' tounges, but hers was very smooth & tickly.

Only if they are mistreated. Alot of people in my family have or have had one. My 12 yr old cousin has 2. They are sweet and loving. Any animal can be mean if raised to be that way. It's all in how they are raised. But watch anything shiny they will steal it. they are little thieves :)

OMG NO WAY!!!! I've had like 3 ferrets and they were all loving nd sweet. But they kinda smell so make sure you clean their cage really good

no, ferrets are ot vicious unless you treat them bad, as well as any other animal. ferrets are so cute!!!<3 but i have to warn you, they smell bad!! you cant do anything about it, all you can do is reduce the smell but thats it. they smell bad because of their skin glands are naturally like that to protect themselves from predators and stuff like that. well i just wanted to tell you so you dont get surprised when you do get one :)!
