How many types of discharge scenarios are there? I know of "Honorable" and "Dishonorable", but I was wondering what else there was. Thanks in advance.

The 5 types of discharges are listed.

Someone above me stated that there is such a thing as a medical discharge this is untrue.

You can be "medically retired" or medically seperated from the US military.

Under those conditions you will have an honorable discharge.

There is no such thing as a "medical discharge." That is a common assumption by people but that type of discharge doesnt exist.

There are a few Honorable, General, Other than honorable, Bad conduct, and Dishonorable. There is also medical separation, and administratively separated.
