Are Atheists aware that an expedition in the 1990's to the Mountains of Ararat found Noah's Ark? I'd suggest that Atheists (lovers of truth, their current "truth" being: There is no God) research this for themselves. After they've done this and other requisite research, maybe it will dispel their fairytale/strawman assertions that there is no God.

Er... Ladies & Gentleman. . . look at all of your assurances that NO Ark has been found. Yes, there was an expedition that found an ark. But, people are free to believe your statements that have absolutely NO foundation whatsoever other than the fact that you stated it. I'd love to debate some of you people for real. lol

I've seen all the evidence from that expedition.
It did not find a boat.
Sorry.
Whoever told you they did was lying, which wasn't very Christian of them.

Okay, let's see your evidence.

What do you mean, their current "truth" being: There is no god? It's the only thing that atheists have in common - if it was something else, the label wouldn't be atheist.
And even if (BIG IF) there was evidence found of 'Noah's Ark', how would this prove the existence of 'god'? It only proves that some time ago, someone left a boat on Mount Ararat!
Duhhhhhhhh

I've seen dozens of Flood/Noah's Ark documentaries, read plenty and am not an atheist. I believe that there have been huge floods that have dessimated large portions of existing human populations. Survivors in these populations have passed along their own stories explaining what happened and/or who survived and how.
That there are all these stories -- histories -- myths -- whatever you want to call them, confirms that there is a collective human memory of catastrophic flooding. It DOES NOT CONFIRM the validity of one story over another.
If there is ark wreckage on Ararat, it confirms that parts of the Noah story have basis in history. So far, the evidence for this is inconclusive.
Meanwhile, there are many examples of confirmed biblical error and inconsistency.
Do a little research yourself!
Genesis, flood
- Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh
- Assyrian, Ea and Utnapishtim
- Babylonian/Chaldean, Berosus account of Cronus and Xisuthrus
- Ancient Greek, Zeus and Deucalion
- Ancient Egypt, Osiris and Atum
- Ancient India, the flood account of the Satapatha Brahmana

the anomaly on Armenian Mount Ararat is not conclusive to be anything. it is a point of interest which simply may or may not be (but probably is) just a natural feature. even if something under the ice is found, it isn't necessarily guaranteed to be a boat. even if it turns out to be the ark, then it simply shows that maybe there is some credit to the biblical story about a drunken boat-building nutcake. there are plenty of stories in the bible that are based on historical events which dont need anything to do with god to be credible.

You said so yourself..."They found AN ark". Who's to say, even if there was one found, that it is absolutely, without a doubt, the ark that Noah built and, in doing so, saving all life on this planet? Going from possibly finding a big-*** boat to saying that it's Noah's ark is a pretty big leap.

Think about this carefully: If Noah's Ark had been found, don't you think everybody would know about it? There is no way that a story that huge would be covered up.
A number of people have claimed to have discovered the remains of Noah's Ark. Not one of their claims has stood up to scrutiny.
You're assuming that atheists have never bothered to do any research on this topic... you're very mistaken.

Well, that's not exactly the CIA... it is a photo-analyst that sometimes subcontracts for the CIA. Also... Noah's ark has NOT been found. There were several so-called searchers who CLAIMED to have found the ark... but they were exposed as hoaxes.
Question... how come you're lying about this?
P.S.: According to this report, the DIA didn't rule out the possibility that it was a man-made structure but stated the anomaly shown in frames two and 23 "appears" to be one of "these linear facades in the glacier ice underlying more recently accumulated ice and snow." http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1571/is_43_16/ai_72274819/pg_6

"Ararat Anomaly" is not a CIA term, and yes, I'm well aware of the 'work' of Ron Wyatt, who not only found Noah's ark, but also found the ark of the covenant, the empty tomb of Jesus, and dozens of other amazing finds - all without even a bechelors degree in archaeology!

Was this in your issue of weekly reader or was it in one of the reruns in the tabloids? Even if there was a great flood the likelyhood of any animals in such a limited quanity surviving from off the top of some steep mountainside AND repopulating the planet are just as rediculous and absurd in fact it's just plain infantile and wreaks of some childhood fairytale. I would much prefer the Star Trek version of intervention and repopulation instead.

"strawman assertions that there is no God"
Why should anyone believe your rant when you don't know what a straw man argument is. Yes, I'm a little guilty of an ad hominem attack, but your assertion that an expedition found the ark is unfounded and without evidence.
