I am 14 years old and healthy. A few hours ago, I got up from watching TV for about an hour. When I did, I took a deep breath and I felt a very sharp cramp-like pain under my right rib cage. I haven't done anything strenuous recently so I don't think that it could be that. But, I have just begun gym class after a "lazy summer". Could that be whats causing it? I'm really nervous. I have a "fear" of the doctor, really, I do. Please help!!!

It doesn't really hurt when I apply pressure.

It also hurts worse whenever I am bending over and breathing. When I am sitting up REALLY straight, I can barely feel it.

The pain could be as simple as gas or it could be soreness from your phys. ed. class or it could be pleurisy. It's not possible to properly diagnose over this website. There's no valid reason to be fearful of seeing the doctor. This is where your help is so if your pain continues, get an appointment!
