Sheesh - Then you would have to take responsibility for your own life. Too much work.

Your opinion is just that: an opinion.

Approximately 80% of the people in the world disagree with you. "Religious thinking" is standing up straight for what we believe. It is not wishful thinking.
It is not "slavish following" of anything. The Bible is not nonsense.

You have a right to your opinion, though.

religion does not have to be about dogmas, wishful thinking, and slavish following of nonsensical texts and teachings; it's just that organized religion has warped the perceived range of possibilities.

my path is not about dogmas, etc., yet I am a very spiritual person.

interesting opinion, but as an atheist who became chrisitan, moving from not believe to finding out the truth and becoming a christian was the most difficult change of my life and being a christian is also a difficult reality at times. it takes a lot of courage. I don't hide behind anything.

Live and let live Bob. they have as much right to be wrong as you and I do. 150 years ago folks thought the world was flat.Sometimes the "realities" you advocate we "stand up and face" change.

And arrogance IS dignified, presumably? To judge things as nonsensensical, etc., merely because YOU do not believe it, IS nonsensical.

PS The spell check is free.
