I don't know, but I know more people die each year waiting for a kidney transplant. Second most sought after organ is the liver; 10,000 people a year die waiting for a liver.

The kidney. By a mile. I suspect the reason is because it's easier to stay alive while needing a kidney transplant as opposed to, say, a heart transplant.

I would assume heart since most other highly transplanted organs can be taken without costing the donor's life (i.e. leaving the donor with one or part of one).
