all I've learned I've read but I'm having a hard time retaining the info. I'm more of a hands on learner and retain better when there is some one there explaining in detail the answers to my questions.

I'm not convinced that you are ready for Wiccan studies. Some believe you either have the gift or don't. You are either born with it or not. I think you should concentrate on self-growth and actualization long before dabbling in things that you don't understand and comprehend the consequences of, sweetie, and please don't take offense to that. You can alway IM me if you want to learn more about your spiritual growth and maturity. There are many things to take into account when your interests flair in Wicca.

Find out if wicca is practiced anywhere near you and go there and see what it's all about. That is the only way to get the true information you are seeking. Plus you will get to see what they do and judge for yourself if it is something for you or not.

One way to find a teacher is through the Witches of the World section at Witchvox:

http://www.witchvox.com/xvn.html

Just use the pull-down menus on the left to find individuals, groups, shops, and events in your area.

I would direct you to a relationship with the Lord Jesus and God the Father. Wicca is not of God. The Word of God speaks clearly about divination and witchcraft; it is of the devil. Once your are in right relationship with God, He will fill you with the Holy Spirit. Then, you can operate in His gifts, experiencing signs, wonders, and miracles that will be more fulfilling than life affirming that acting out the wiles of Satan. If you truly want to learn about Wicca, I challenge you to also read the Bible and learn about about God's truth. Then sincerely pray and ask God what He would have you get involved in. Look up the word witchcraft in a Bible concordance and study all the scriptures listed about it... there are a lot of them.

I don't know where in the country you are in. Many occult shops have bulletin boards where you can post looking for a teacher, or where groups advertise open meetings. If there is not one in your area, you can always look on the state resources pages in http://www.witchvox.com for someone local......

Wicca/withcraft sounds cool,. but it's also scary

if one prays to God, and God gives them a blessing, then it comes from God.

If one uses magic, and something happens, the power didn't come from god, so it must have come from the other evil guy

you really don't want to use his means to make things happen

I don't know. I have high personal standards already, and I readily absorb complex concepts.
