No, it is false. Steel does melt and its melting point does depend on which kind of steel you are talking about.Normal construction steel melts around 1400 to 1500 degrees Celsius.
Type of steel depends on the carbon content in it as well as other alloying elements. But in any case it will melt and all the times it is going to be less than the melting point of pure iron (1539 degrees Celsius). Good luck...

It's false, steel does melt. Interestingly though, it takes less energy to melt steel than it does to boil water.

It melts you put it into a thing called a furnace and after it get hot enough you take it out the metal in in a crucible then you pour it into a mold made of sand let it cool break the mold and you've got what ever the mold was just don't spill any of it on your foot like i did and burn the **** out of your toe. alway ware steel tip shoes.
