Gee who were these Catholics.
Evodius was the first Bishop of Antioch, and he is credited with being the first person to call the followers of Christ, "Christians", as shown in Acts 11:26. See Eusebius, book 3, chapter 22.
Saint Ignatius (35-107), the second Bishop of Antioch wrote a letter to the Smyrneans in 107 A.D..
In this letter is recorded the first known use of the words "Catholic Church"...

So that was your back-handed way of calling all Christians fundamentalists? Fundamentalism is based on rigid adherence to a certain set of beliefs or principles, and intolerance of anyone who does not believe the same. Surely you don't really think that all or even a majority of Christians act that way.
As far as the semantics that you wish you argue: Catholiscism is a denomination of Christianity, but Catholics call themselves and are referred to as Catholics in order to differentiate, much as Baptists, Lutherans, etc do the same.

When you can explain to me how the word "christian" appeared in the new testament long before the catholics ever got a hold of it, I might take this question seriously.

Acts 11:26; Acts 16:30;
A Christian is someone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and everything which the Bible teaches about Him. They have also been born again, as commanded by Jesus Christ in John 3, and filled with the Holy Spirit. They have received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. Therefore they are part of the body of Christ, His Church. His ambassadors on earth. His soldiers in the spiritual warfare.

No offense meant here, But God is NOT Catholic. Mathew, Mark, Luke, Jesus and John never even heard of Catholics.
How do you figure they (Catholics) are the original ?????????????????? ??????????????
God is NOT baptist, Methodist, Lutheran or Catholic.
Get over yourself... Puhlease!!!!
Being Christian means you are a follower of Jesus the Christ. Period...

A "Christian" is someone who tries to be like "Christ" by following his teachings.
So someone who follows the teachings of Christ in the Bible is "Christian" by definition of the term.
