Well, I agree that eternal has no ending, but it does not necessarily mean that it has no beginning.
In a Christian context, eternity has to do with another time ahead, not this one which is full of 'perishing'. As in: 'Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my word will never pass away.'
So there is an admitted passing away of not only where we live, but our flesh as well. And many are convinced that all spirits are false; there aren't any. Theses people are what is called 'asleep' or 'dead' in the spirit.
So this is not really eternity in a Christian context. The connection between this world and the next not being seen in a common timeline.

In a way, yes. But your consciousness isn't eternal, just some of the chemicals that make you up. Your DNA came from your parents, and 250,000 generations ago, the same DNA was in gibbons, and 250,000 generations before that , it is the same DNA that is found in sea worms. So, yes, life is indeed eternal, if by that you mean that somewhere on this planet we can trace life having much of the same code of DNA that you have--indeed some of the same molecular sequences, even using the same atoms!!!! Consciousness? YOUR consciousness? YOUR experiences remembered??? uuuuh, no. Those die with the stoppage of the circulation in your brain, and the rotting of that tissue that makes up your brain. But the molecules, atoms and calories in that brain go on to nourish other things... Fascinating stuff. You have molecules right now in your body that belonged to Beethoven... but none yet from Elvis. He hasn't been dead long enough.

The "NOW"! The Present moment. Why is it called Present? Presence is Present and The Present moment is all that is ever real. It is an eternal NOW. Without looking at your watch, attempt to catch the beginning or end of the moment. Human concept of eternal is much to complex and dual, that this is completely overlooked.

Life on earth is not eternal. You only need to look at all the cemeteries to know this. Eternal life comes after physical death. None of us existed before we were born. Only God is eternally existing. Only God has always existed. See 1 Cor. 15: 53-54

We are in eternity. Eternity is infinite. This is one phase of eternity - the physical one - which does have a beginning and an end. The body is finite, the soul is infinite.

Life is not eternal or infinite.
Life is a series of chemical reactions that cannot last forever. The lifespan of individual organisms is incredibly short compared to the age of the universe.
I won't stoop to give theological "feel good" quotes; I give what I observe.

Do you want an eternal life in heaven or hell? Your choices will put you in one or the other. But you will stay in your grave until Jesus returns and sends you to your area.
