Actually, I had an incident only a few days ago. I am currently in a relationship with a man who is more than 15 years my senior. I just turned 22, and he's 37 now. The other day we were sitting and waiting for a bus when this lady walks over to us and asks for a smoke. My boyfriend gave her one and she sat down on the curb close to where we were standing and talking. She's sitting there loudly muttering something under her breath to herself. I think that perhaps she has some kind of mental problem and so my boyfriend and I ignore it and continue talking to each other. Then she suddenly says loudly "Obviously, I am going to have to do something about this!" and then get up and stands directly between me and my boyfriend (and we were standing no more than 2 feet away from each other). She looks directly at me and shouts "How old are you?", and shocked I respond "I'll be 22 on sunday." She then turns to my boyfriend and asks, "And how old are you?" and he responds "37" She turns back to me and says, "You're too young, 22? More like 16!" I smirked, because I was trying too hard not to laugh, and then she starts to get mad. Luckily right then one of our friends passes by in his Jeep and offers us a lift. My boyfriend and I quickly hop into the car and we take off. And get this, that whole time, the lady wasn't even waiting for a bus. Once we left, she got up and started following some other guy who was walking down the street and shouting at him. Some people will do anything for attention.

Sorry to hear about that...sounds like this girl was pretty crazy!
I did have someone start a fight with me once for no reason. I was waiting for the light to turn green so I could cross the street, and there is this group of 4 girls. One of them just started to stare at me and I did my best to ignore her. When she started to make faces at me, I just turned my back.
Next thing I know, she jumps me from behind and tries to slug me in the face. I did hit her back, but only in self-defence. I was 16 years old at the time.
I still don't know to this day why that girl decided to start a fight with me, but yeah, some people are just downright nasty.

Well I remember this time I was waiting for the library doors to open (because I came too early). Then I waited and there was these kids all around my age. I'm guessing they were related and they all kept talking to me and giving me an attitude. I was like what the heck man, I'm just here minding my own and talking to my friend and a bunch of idiots come and talk sh*t about me. So we got into a huge fight and no one was there. One of them tried to hit me but she didn't. Then his brother came and started yelling at me for hitting his sister. They all know I barely even lay a hand on them and they started to act all paranoid. Well suddenly I go to the same school with him and happen to see them once in a while. The girls forgot about me but the guy hasn't. I'm starting to think they're family is retarted.

I was at the grocery store getting last minute things for our Thanksgiving meal. I was staring off in to space thinking about the holiday head of me. A woman two aisles down very loudly said, " What are you staring at. You staring at me." I responded because she stunned me to realize she was talking to me. I responded, I had a lot on my mind, but she was not one of them. ( I had just buried my husband 4 days before this, and Thankgiving was his favorite holiday, because all the kids came out, plus their kids, and we would play games, watch movies, and just have a good day. ) The kids decided that we should have the dinner because it was our day to celebrate his life that day. So the woman really got me upset thinking that she is the only thing people have on their minds.

Yes. I live in the city and girls with put up their fists if you look at them wrong. They are always in groups and their just trying to show off. Its happened to me several times, but luckily it never resulted in a fist fight.

Strangers have not been my problem. My boss from work one time tried to murder me with a hammer; then took up stalking me. I had to run for my life.
Just keep your cool. If you loose it, you could end up behaving too much like them.

No, but if she had hit you, you would have had every right to defend yourself.
I hope you don't run into her again.
She sounds like a nut!
