Jesus was born of Jewish parents making Him a Jew as well in His humanity. He was a descendant of King David through the lineage of Mary not Joseph. He was from the tribe of Judah as was Mary His mother. This can be traced through the royal genealogy given in Matthew and the human genealogy found in Luke.
