Seven states have no state income tax: Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. Two others, New Hampshire and Tennessee, tax only dividend and interest income.

The truth is the state where you are a resident will give you a credit for taxes paid to other states. You will still file both states returns. One resident return and one non-resident. But the total tax will be based upon the combined rates.

i believe that they do. i am thinking that the only two states that do not have state income tax are florida and texas ?
