Frontline, Advantage, or Revolution.
DO NOT use Advantix (this is only for dogs and has an ingredient that is toxic to cats).
DO NOT use anything that you can buy just off a shelf at a store like Wal-Mart. Specifically anything made by Hartz. There is an igredient in the hartz flea products that is toxic to cats; these products have been known to cause seizures and sometimes even death. I don't know why this stuff is even on the market still.
Play it safe and get either Frontline, Advantage, or Revolution from your vet. They are a little more expensive than something you might find at the store, but they will not harm your pets.

I've done alot of research on holistic remedies for cats and dogs. This worked on a 4 week old kitten I found. Purchase organic eucalyptus body wash (for humans) it should contain rosemary. Bathe the cat in warm water applying the wash to the face first- then work your way down. Chances are the cat has more fleas that you are not seeing. Take a large towel and bring her outside and keep rubbing her. Fleas despise the smell and will literally jump off. This may have to be repeated- but it does work. I even put a few drops near his bedding.

My husband and I use Frontline Spray on our three cats. You spray about 1 spray per pound of body weight on them once a month. And you can even spray their face, just spray the spray onto your gloved hand and wipe it on their face. It will kill the fleas instantly and any fleas that come in contact with them. The cat will even shed their hair, which ahs the spray on it, into their fav spots which kills the flea eggs.

Fleas don't stay put, so spraying the rest of her body will help. Be sure to use an age appropriate flea remedy. And after that get her an age appropriate flea collar. Make sure it is a snap free collar so it won't strangle her if she gets caught on something while climbing around.

Get Revolution from 1800petmeds or from a vet. It is a liquid medicine that is squirted on the back of the neck of the cat so they can't lick it off. It will take a couple of days to kill all the fleas on your cat but it will work! The medicine will work itself into the blood stream of your cat and it will also protect agains ticks and heartworm. (Needs monthly applications.)

You can get frontline, advantage or revolution for your cat. It is put directly on their skin and it kills all fleas and ticks. Look it up on the web. You can either get it from a vet or from pet meds on the internet. I don't know if they sell it a pet supply stores or not.
