Well, I studied French at school and it was my first foreign language love affair. But then I met Italian and my heart was stolen away! Later still, I was seduced by Spanish.....

I enjoyed studying French because I was fascinated by the structure under the initial appearance of confusion, and I enjoyed shaping my mouth in new and different ways to form the sounds. I also found that one is a slightly different person depending on which language one is speaking! I also discovered that it is the key to the culture with which it is entwined, and expresses the yearnings, loves, hates, and joys of the French-speaking people.

I later found I preferred Italian because it is more earthy in contrast with the abstractness of French, which has all those unpronounced letters...

French is a beautiful language. I wish I could speak more of it, and I plan to minor, or hopefully major, in it in college.

I never found it too hard to learn. I took french from 7th grade to Junior year and always had A's.

I think it's a really beautiful language! I've taken a beginner course on it at Alliance Francaise at HELP Institute at Pusat Bandar Damansara but if you've got transportation, go to their branch somewhere in KL because they've got more resources and activities there.
