1 Corinthians 13
Love
1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails.

I try to live this everyday toward everyone that Is around me and that I meet. I am dealing lately with attitudes that I need God to help me with. I think they are coming from just being hurt and I have walls up to protect me, which are not good either. They are also wearing me out to the point my energy level is so low. It takes alot of work to keep those walls built up! I praise Him though, because I know as hard as it is those walls will come down. This will bring more reason to reach out in love.

I think try is the key word!!! yes I try and often I am rediculed for my love for my fellow mankind. I constantly go into some form of debt for others. I open my renthouses to those who have no where to go and no way to pay rent. i do it out of my love for humanity and none of my family seem to understand that I am only doing my part as a fellow human being.
Some people have told me that I prophesy but I prefer the term that I share my opinion and spirituality and connectedness to all my fellow humans in hopes that they too can find their own path of life..

I try to help those who are less fortunate get on their feet and able to live a true life again free from their addictions of drugs and alcohol or whatever hinders and personally torments them. I hope that in my final days and death is knocking on my door that I can look back and have no regrets for everything I do today. I choose and help make my own destiny. I follow a path that is very narrow and at times hard physically spiritually and emotionally. I try to feed those who are in need and may not have riches of materialistic wealth, nor desire it...but I often offer my patience and time and listening ears to those in need of comfort.

I am no angel and have made mistakes by far but along life's way I have truly lived and learned that unconditional love for all is truly my path of life that I want. I am only a simple woman and my spiritual wealth and success comes from love for all others.Practice unconditional love for it is rewarding more than any precious treasure of the world.

This is my favorite line "7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres". So why then does your "loving God" send you to hell? Not much protection there.

Yes! It is hard.

See also John 15, "I am the vine you are the branches" Jesus talks about obeying his commandment. In the passage it looks to me like his commandment is "love one another"/

It's easy for me to love others, to love my kids, to love flakey church people, to love odd neighbors, etc....

It's hard for me to love my spouse because she is right there in my face every day. Lots of times we rub each other the wrong way. For me, loving my wife is the true challenge, and I know that I'm going to be held accountable for this one day.

Thanks for the passage!

Note: Our loving God gives you a chance to not to go to Hell. Its up to you to accept the free gift or not. You have a free way out. That sounds more than fair to me.

PS. I'm tripping out on the thumbs down here. If you don't mind put in your answer why your thumbing this down. Just curious.

PPS. I am a conservative and interpret the Bible literally. But what if, just what if Hell really wasn't fire. What if that was just figurative. What if it was eternal separation from God because you didn't want to know Him anyway and that the separation sucked so bad that it was worse than burning alive forever after you realized how awesome and cool it would've been to intimately know the loving creator of the entire universe?
